In case of emergency/overdose

In the case of an overdose, seek emergency medical attention by calling your local poison control center on 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, then please call the local emergency services on 911.

However, a single large dose of this medication is unlikely to cause serious symptoms or death. Overdose symptoms are more likely to be caused by a chronic overdose - large doses taken over a period of time.

Symptoms of overdose may include:

swelling or water retention
high blood pressure (headache, blurred vision)
weight gain
low levels of potassium in the blood
